I have been interning at Arup for 3 months. The company is expanding its technology base. The stack includes Angular 1.3.x series on front end, Django on backend with PostgreSQL as database. All the applications are deployed on Windows server (which I think are hosted by themselves)
There are two aspects I look into the company
The conception of technology use has been fairly recent. They are trying to expand and provide additional civil domain related technology services. I think there is huge potential for company to invest in AR/VR and IoT tech. But these are moon shot projects and will require considerable funding and strong technical backing from upper management. Domain knowledge while building software is extremely crucial and I loved learning during my internship.
The company is doing fairly well in its civil industry domain. There civil services are global outreach is clearly an advantage. The revenue stream is great and company is big spender on employees and thier skills.
